Hello foodies and welcome to the weekend. Today it is all about hot and spicy. I have a passion for spices and am fascinated by how they transform food, so I was delighted by Spice Health Heroes by Natasha MacAller. It features a host of recipes from chefs such as Judy Joo and Peter Gordon and looks into the medicinal and nutritional properties of spices.
I have chosen Tonga chilli-lime chicken and Swiss berry quilt cake, which demonstrates how versatile and subtle spices can be. If you have never tried cooking from scratch with spices. I would recommend this book.
